Terms of Service

These terms govern use of sakay-app.com (the “Site”). SAKAY is owned and developed by DumlaoAndCo (“Sakay,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

The Site is a pre-launch marketing website. It does not provide ride-hailing, payments, or driver onboarding as a live service. Store badges, waitlist language, launch regions, and target dates (including Q1 2027) are informational. They are not a promise that the app, a city, or a date will be available.

Who you are contracting with

DumlaoAndCo, owner and developer of SAKAY, Metro Manila, Philippines. Notices: ride@sakay-app.com.

Using the Site

You may view the Site and send a message through the contact form for a lawful purpose.

You may not:

• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content
• Probe, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Site
• Attempt to access systems, accounts, or data that are not yours
• Use the Site to send spam or malware

Contact form and waitlist

Submitting the form is a request for us to reply. It does not create a rider account, driver account, employment, partnership, or a right to use a future Sakay app. We may decline or ignore messages that are abusive or off-topic.

Intellectual property

The Site, including text, layout, logos, and graphics, is owned by Sakay or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape, or reuse it except as allowed by law (for example fair use) or with our written permission.

Third-party services

The Site is hosted by Vercel. Contact mail is sent through Resend. Those services have their own terms. App Store and Google Play badges are placeholders; they are not live listings.

No warranty

The Site is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any future product will match descriptions on the Site. To the extent Philippine law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent Philippine law allows, Sakay is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits, arising from use of the Site. Our total liability for claims arising from the Site is limited to PHP 5,000 or the amount you paid us for the Site (currently none), whichever is greater. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including fraud or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limit is unenforceable.

Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may change these terms or the Site at any time. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Courts in Metro Manila have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer-protection law gives you a mandatory venue.
